Olivia Zeff (she/her)
Olivia specializes in working with adolescents, teens, and young adults dealing with anxiety, OCD, perfectionism, and emotional dysregulation. By identifying their values, Olivia's clients discover ways to navigate difficult obstacles and decisions in order to align their actions with what matters most to them. Working from a neurodiversity-affirming perspective, Olivia supports her clients with embracing their strengths while facing the challenges and trauma of navigating a society that often does not recognize neurodivergent needs.
Using the Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE) model, Olivia helps parents understand the systemic nature of their child's anxiety. SPACE is an evidence-based treatment for childhood anxiety that doesn't require the child's participation whatsoever. Research has shown that the vast majority of parents of anxious children modify their own behavior in order to accommodate their anxious child. Over the course of 10-14 sessions, parents learn tools to provide effective support, understand and implement appropriate boundaries, and reduce the accommodations they make that have inadvertently reinforced their child's anxiety response.
As a culturally-responsive therapist, Olivia is dedicated to understanding and integrating each client's unique cultural background and experiences into the therapeutic work to ensure a truly personalized and effective approach.
